Do you know what it is to “people” too hard? Are you an extrovert who gains energy from being with others, or does it drain you? I like to spend a lot of time alone, and I cannot understate the importance of rest and recovery.

As someone who is absolutely wiped out after intense social situations, it’s important for individuals like me who are introverts and face challenges related to fibromyalgia, central sensitization, allodynia, anxiety, PTSD, and EDS to rest and recover. Additionally, we’ll discuss the role of the central nervous system (CNS) in causing fatigue after social interactions and explore some helpful teas and foods for CNS recovery.

Rest and Recovery for Introverts with Health Challenges and The Role of the Central Nervous System (CNS) in Fatigue After Social Interaction

Allodynia and Overstimulation:

Allodynia refers to pain caused by stimuli that wouldn’t typically be painful (e.g., light touch).

Overstimulation can exacerbate allodynia and fatigue.

This captivating painting, which I would title “Kaleidoscope of Emotions,” exudes a vibrant and dynamic energy. Its rich blend of colors and abstract forms invites viewers to explore a myriad of feelings and interpretations.

Now, let’s delve into the questions surrounding its worthiness and the journey of art to preciousness:

Determining the monetary value of art is a complex dance between objective factors and subjective perception. Here are some considerations:

My journey began innocently enough. A handful of Psilocybe cubensis—the fawn-hued enchanters—nestled in my palm. Their caps, like miniature galaxies, promised cosmic revelations. I chewed them thoughtfully, savoring their earthy bitterness. But this time, the trip took an unexpected detour.

03.03.24 Ornamental Hermitage

The Ornamental Hermit is literally my dream job... And I think, based on the conversations I have with friends while they are here, the feeling evoked here at Liten Hobbit Stuga is right on Ornamental Hermit point.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, ornamental hermits were a curious and whimsical addition to the grand gardens of wealthy landowners. But what did they DO, I wondered... Was it just some old scurvy goat dude creeping around the Victorian gardens, popping out to say "HEJ!" to the guests?

Well, sort of... here’s what their job entailed:

Role and Purpose:

Ornamental hermits were hired individuals whose primary function was to inhabit small, purpose-built structures within elaborate gardens. They served as living garden ornaments, adding an air of mystery and eccentricity to the landscape.

Appearance and Lifestyle:

The hermit’s appearance was carefully curated:

They wore goat’s hair robes. Their hair, nails, and beard were left untrimmed (yeesh)... They were silently contemplative, rarely speaking to anyone (I have that part down)... Some hermits were even asked to make themselves available to guests, answering questions and providing counsel.

Hermitages and Follies:

Hermitages were small, secluded structures—often resembling caves or rustic huts—where the hermits resided. These structures were strategically placed within the gardens, creating an aura of solitude and mystique. The hermit’s presence was meant to evoke a sense of withdrawal from the world and encourage reflection (this is the coolest part of the job).

Entertainment and Prestige:

Employing an ornamental hermit was a status symbol for landowners. BEHOLD! I AM WEALTHY! SEE MY ORNAMENTAL HERMITS in their natural habitats! In return for their role, hermits received a stipend, food, and board. Guests could observe them from a distance or occasionally interact with them, depending on the landowner’s instructions. Decline in Popularity:

As landscaping concepts evolved, the novelty of ornamental hermits waned. Industrialization and changing tastes shifted the focus away from contemplative garden features. I find this wholly unacceptable and will be unionizing the Ornamental Hermits in order to gain appropriate optics and market share, and to reup our contracts with wealthy land owners. Ah, the eternal battle of WordPress vs. Squarespace—a clash of titans in the digital arena! 🌟 Allow me to unravel this web of intrigue and shed light on the cosmic forces at play.

Picture this: WordPress, the seasoned wizard, donning a cloak of infinite plugins, whispering arcane SEO incantations into the night. Squarespace, the sleek sorceress, weaving minimalist spells with her responsive templates and structured data. Both vying for supremacy, like rival bards in a tavern brawl.

Or, is the point of the blog to be the passion and thing that you are interested in, keep it pure and clean on content with no third party ads, and express yourself because it is the thing you want to do, regardless of monetization. Let’s explore their strengths and what you can do to improve your Squarespace site’s ranking:

We went once for my grandparents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel with my family in England to see many of the family landmarks, gravestones, churches, and houses.
